Comments

A crucial part of blogging is commenting. Before we began our blog we looked closely at what a blog is and also commenting. We looked as many samples of comments and ways in which we can comment on posts as well as give feedback and say something meaningful. Here are some things our classroom discussed and looked at.
  • Compliment and Acknowledge: If you’re commenting on someone else’s post, say something that creates discussion. Maybe you could even make your own connection to their blog topic.
  • Be positive: Say nice things if your comments become negative, you aren’t going to enjoy it and so is the blogger. Same goes for your classmate’s blogs. So make sure whatever you comment to each other is positive and uplifting.
  • It's okay to present a different point of view: Being positive does not mean you can't disagree. If someone writes something you don’t necessarily agree with, present your opinion. Just make sure you offer your reasons and don't say anything that is not nice in the process of stating your opinion.
  • Question: Ask a question at the end of your comment to create a discussion or question them about their blog in general.
